In the beginning...

Since the beginning of time, women were bread to be ladies, to rear children, and to be submissive to their husbands. Umm, yea. Good luck with that! Simply said, I make no apologies.

I have been inspired by two women who I admire deeply Jamielyn http://seamsthatway.blogspot.com/ and Tiffany http://tiffany-threescompany.blogspot.com/ to create this blog. I'm a firm believer in the "power girl" (Kelly Cutrone- my personal power girl idol) movement. I'm a mother, wife, maid, cook, and therapist (just to name a few). Oh, and let's not forget that  I am employed full time at a law firm (because who the hell wants to stay home with their children all day? Not me.)

I'm a realist. I believe more people should speak the truth and express themselves. Sometimes, all we have are our feeling and beliefs. I take the real and honest approach on life and motherhood. I absolutely love my children (Bella and Christian), but I don't pretend that motherhood is always joyous like some liars (oops, I mean mothers) do!

As mothers and wives, we tend to get so caught up in the day to day craziness that is our lives leaving little time for ourselves. Unfortunately, we don't always get to release our thoughts and feelings. And so my blog begins!

C'est la vie....

*Normally books have a dedication page. Though this is not a book exactly, I would like to dedicate my blog to my mother. In my eyes, she is the most beautiful, selfless, and nurturing woman, mother, and wife. My mother would sit with me everyday and do a high point and low point discussion for everyday. So as a dedication I plan on doing a high and low point for each of my blogs.

Today's High Point: My new blog of course!
Today's Low Point: Sleep deprived from my son's new found love of not sleeping in his crib. (Blog will follow)
